OXFORD, Ohio— The Miami University RedHawks hosted their second meet of the outdoor season this Saturday, the RedHawk Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • On the field for the women, Ella Scally finished in first place in the long jump event with a personal best of 6.25 meters. Elle Miller (5.72 meters), Chloe Rickson (5.45 meters), Taylor Manley (5.39 meters), Mikayla de Souza (4.93 meters) and Amanda Kaufman (4.62 meters) also competed in the women's long jump event and finished in second, fourth, sixth, eighth and ninth place, respectively. Jessica Rhodes finished in first place in the women's javelin event with 32.39 meters. Kayla Walters (28.20 meters), Sharron Kagan (24.62 meters), Ella Garvin (24.11 meters) and Kaufman (16.55 meters) also competed in the javelin event, taking third, fourth, fifth and seventh place. Rhodes also finished in first place in the women's discus event with 44.32 meters. Ella Rigel finished in first place in the women's hammer event with 56.75 meters. Addison Hoover also competed in the women's hammer event and finished in seventh place with 47.59 meters. In the women's shot put event, Sara Cupp finished in ninth place with 11.15 meters. In the women's pole vault event, Mia Boule (3.95 meters), Emily Eterovich (3.56 meters) and Grace Hicks (3.35 meters) finished in first, third and fourth respectively. Garvin (1.70 meters), Abbi Deisch (1.65 meters), Miller (1.60 meters), Maddie Sisler (1.55 meters) and Kaufman (1.45 meters) finished in second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh place in the women's high jump event. Manley (11.10 meters) and Miller (11.00 meters) finished in first and second place in the women's triple jump event.
  • For the women, Scally finished in first place in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.01 seconds. Camryn Dunn (12.09 seconds), Chloe Rickson (12.62 seconds), Katelyn Pratt (12.80 seconds), Sidney Sanders (13.18 seconds) and de Souza (13.44 seconds) also ran in the 100-meter dash, finishing in order from third to seventh. In the women's 100-meter hurdles, Kayla Walters finished in first place with a time of 14.50 seconds. Kaufman (15.79 seconds), Sydney Harmon (16.01 seconds) and Garvin (16.48 seconds) also ran in the 100-meter hurdles and finished in third, fourth and sixth place. The 4x100-meter relay "A" team of Dunn, Abby Suszek, Scally and Lucca Agate finished in first place with a time of 45.74 seconds. The 4x100-meter relay "B" team of Walters, Pratt, Sanders and Rickson finished in third place with a time of 48.87 seconds. In the women's 400-meter dash, Suszek (54.74 seconds) and Agate (55.70 seconds) finished in first and third place, respectively. In the women's 400-meter hurdles, Erin Connors (1:02.35), Harmon (1:08.19) and Garvin (1:08.21) finished in first, second and third place respectively. In the 200-meter dash, the women had eight out of the top 10 finishers, including the top four: Scally (24.37 seconds), Dunn (24.47 seconds), Agate (24.57 seconds) and Suszek (24.85 seconds). Rickson (25.90 seconds), Connors (26.22 seconds), Pratt (26.41 seconds) and Harmon (26.48 seconds) also turned in top-10 finishes.
  • For the women, Gianna Labbiento finished in first place in the women's 1500-meter with a time of 4:56.03. Cara Razavi (5:01.47) and Hannah Lippincott (5:08.81) also ran in the 1500-meter and finished in second and fourth place. In the women's 800-meter, Eve Traficanti (2:15.27) and Nora Zubillaga (2:15.74) came in first and second. Jenna Sayle (2:18.29), Avery Emerson (2:19.66) and Gretchen Feldkamp (2:25.89) also ran in the 800-meter and finished in fourth, fifth and sixth place.
  • On the field for the men, the RedHawks had five of the top six finishers in the men's discus event. Adam Smith (52.50 meters), Felipe de la Maza (49.03 meters), Owen Billeter (48.23 meters), Gabe Asbury (45.47 meters) and Reilly Worthington (45.04 meters) finished in first, second, fourth, fifth, and sixth place. Matthew Howard (54.72 meters) and Smith (48.40 meters) finished in second and third place in the men's javelin. CJ Johnson Jr. (44.34 meters), Micah Schuster (41,89 meters), and de la Maza (37.80 meters) also competed in the javelin, coming in fifth, sixth, and seventh place. Asbury (47.59 meters), Worthington (43.70 meters) and Billeter (39.73 meters) finished in sixth, seventh, and eighth place in the men's hammer event. Andrew Farrow (6.72 meters) and Sam Deep (6.46 meters) finished in first and second in the men's long jump event. Farrow also finished in first place in the men's triple jump event with 14.10 meters. In the men's shot put event, Worthington (15.14 meters), Smith (14.15 meters), de la Maza (13.85 meters) and Sam Vaughan (12.97 meters) finished in sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth place.
  • For the men, Julian Wagner finished in first place in the men's 100-meter dash with a time of 10.66 seconds. Jayson Harrison (10.84 seconds), De'Yon Brown (11.04 seconds), Angelo Vassilakis (11.05 seconds) and Mitchell Wiemuth (11.34 seconds) also ran in the 100-meter dash, and they finished in third, fifth, sixth and seventh. In the men's 110-meter hurdles, Eman Alfred (14.54 seconds) and Josh Mikulka (15.17 seconds) finished in first and third place. The 4x100-meter relay "A" team of Wagner, Joey Valeski, Alfred and Harrison finished in first place with a time of 41.75 seconds. The 4x100-meter relay "B" team of Wiemuth, Vassilakis, Remy Schulz and Brown finished in second place with a time of 42.24 seconds. In the men's 400-meter dash, Leo Bouldin finished in first place with a time of 48.29 seconds. Schuster (48.69 seconds), Valeski (50.05 seconds), Christopher Wright-Goss (50.86 seconds) and JD Leverette (52.83 seconds) also ran in the 400-meter, and they finished in order from third to sixth. In the men's 400-meter hurdles, Alfred (55.29 seconds), Jaxson Tober (55.37 seconds) and Mikulka (57.14 seconds) finished in first, second, and third, respectively. In the men's 200-meter dash, the RedHawks had eight of the top 10 finishers, led by Harrison (21.81 seconds). Bouldin (21.92 seconds), Alfred (21.96 seconds), Wagner (22.02 seconds), Schuster (22.11 seconds), Vassilakis (22.24 seconds), Schulz (22.71 seconds) and Leverette (22.93 seconds) also placed among the top nine.
  • In the men's 1500-meter run, Elliot Rodstrom (3:59.49) and Jack Fleming (4:01.74) swept the top two spots.

Next Friday, the RedHawks travel to Bloomington, Ind. to wrap up the regular season in the Billy Hayes Invite at Indiana University.
